On Saturday 1st of March, Swedish Game Awards will host a workshop, aimed direclty to people who are participating in the competiton, or want to participate. The event which take place at Kårhuset Nymble, Drottning Kristinas Väg 15, Stockholm, opens at 10:00 and keeps going until late in the evening. The current program is subject to minor changes. What we offer is a day and evening packed with activities and a great place to meet likeminded people from around Sweden.

10:00 - Pitch your game to the JuryWhile each team pitches their game and recieves feedback from the jury, the rest have various activities to choose from. From casual gaming to actively participating in seminar-style activities. It is also possible to network with others and work on your game. We recommend participants to bring their laptops.

Pitching continues untill all teams are done.
14:15 - Keynote - Oskar Burman, Avalanche Studios15:00 - Seminars
Several seminars will be held, while offering the parralell track of hanging out in the lounge.
17:00 - Dinner17:30 - Henning Tegen - "Introduction to the Quake 3 source code"
Henning Tegen participated last year with an impressive 1st person multiplayer game called Celestial Impact. The 3D engine was built from scratch and heavily inspired by the Quake 3 engine. Henning will give you an in-depth introduction to the Quake 3 Source Code.
18:30 - Filip Coulianos - "Modding Halflife 2"
Filip is Editor-in-chief at www.leveldesign.nu and he has been working with the HL2/Source tools since 2004. Filip will do several hands-on demonstrations on how to make mods in Half-Life 2 using both the level design tool Hammer, and the scripting system.
19:30 - Mingle & Gaming Lounge and other activities.A perfect way to network with other likeminded and talk gamedesign and try eachothers games out. The Gaming Lounge will be open until around 23:00
The workshop includes lunch and dinner but no accommodation will be provided. To participate you need to register for the event. The Workshop has a limited number of seats, so be sure to register as soon as you know you are attending. We recommend talking to your school about attending the Workshop and see if they can help you making it here. Registration will open very soon!
